Nyandarua County Criminal Investigations Officer (CCIO) John Rioba has died, while Uasin Gishu Member of County Assembly (MCA) Regina Chumba sustained injuries after a multiple-vehicle accident at the Karai area near the Nairobi-Nakuru highway.

According to reports, the accident occurred on Monday, June 15, after nine vehicles collided with each other along the busy highway, killing the police boss on the spot and leaving several people nursing critical injuries.

While Riobia died on the spot, MCA Chumba suffered chest injuries and was rushed to the hospital for treatment, but her current condition was not immediately disclosed.
