📌 What You Need to Know

“The growth was driven by continued growth across the Group’s Life and General Insurance businesses and the strength of its distribution and partnership networks across its markets,” Britam said.

The group’s net insurance service result strengthened 36 per cent to Ksh1.8 billion, which Britam attributed to tighter underwriting discipline and improved claims management across its regional markets.

Interest and dividend income increased 13 per cent to Ksh12 billion, supported by what the insurer described as disciplined portfolio management and continued optimisation of its investments.

Britam’s total assets increased to Ksh270.8 billion, while total equity rose to Ksh37.6 billion.

The group’s Contractual Service Margin (CSM), which represents expected future profit from insurance contracts, grew 27 per cent to Ksh15.6 billion.

The insurer reported an 18 per cent return on equity, highlighting stronger profitability during the period.
