While in London, the duo intends to lobby UK Members of Parliament, members of the House of Lords, journalists and human rights activists to pile pressure on British authorities to ensure the case goes to full trial.

Speaking to Nation, Njoki described the upcoming trip as a monumental breakthrough after more than a decade of stalled investigations and institutional cover-ups, marking their first real opportunity to see the suspect face justice.

“It is a public hearing, so we were told that there is no special invite for the family. As a family, we are however planning to notify UK MPs and the Kenyan embassy in the UK to expect us once we have secured the Sh1 million, which is to cater for our transport and accommodation in London,” said Njoki.
