Airtel Money customers sending money across mobile networks can now enjoy cashback rewards following the introduction of a new initiative aimed at providing more value to users making digital transactions.

The cashback offer allows customers transferring money from Airtel Money to M-PESA users to receive 50 per cent of their transaction fees back, with the amount credited to their Airtel Money Bonus Wallet.

Under the offer, customers sending money from Airtel Money to another Airtel Money user will continue enjoying free transfers.

Those sending money to users on other networks can benefit from the cashback reward.

The initiative comes as mobile money continues to play a central role in the country’s digital economy.

This includes sending money to family members, paying suppliers, contributing to fundraisers and settling everyday expenses.

“With free Airtel-to-Airtel transfers and 50 per cent transaction fee cashback when sending to M-PESA, customers can enjoy greater value while staying connected to the people who matter most,” Airtel stated.

The cashback earned is stored in the Airtel Money Bonus Wallet, where customers can check their accumulated balance or withdraw their bonus by dialling *334# and selecting Option 98.

Airtel Money said the initiative is designed to give customers greater value while enabling them to conveniently transfer funds without the need to visit a banking hall or ATM.
