Bolt Kenya has recognised its top-performing drivers across Nairobi and Mombasa, rewarding them for their commitment to customer service during this year's Customer Service Week.
🇰🇪 Breaking It Down
At an event held at the Nairobi Driver Engagement Centre on Friday, October 9, Bolt awarded the drivers fuel vouchers, certificates and tyres, among other rewards.
“Their recognition included practical support in the form of fuel and vehicle service vouchers and tyres, among other rewards, marking their achievement,” Bolt said, adding that drivers also received T-shirts and reflector vests.
The drivers, who interact directly with passengers, expressed joy at the recognition, saying it acknowledged their daily efforts.
📌 What You Need to Know
“I did not think I was among the top Bolt drivers. I was shocked when I was called. I still cannot believe it,” Martine Oloo, who has been a Bolt rider for six years, told Kenyans.co.ke .
Denis Muiru, a Bolt driver for the past four years, was equally excited, saying his children would be proud of his achievement. “My children will be happy to look at my certificate,” Muiru said.
Muiru, who is known for wearing a smile, said the award recognised his hard work. He explained that he strives to remain courteous to passengers and minimise conflicts during trips.
According to Bolt, drivers and riders had to have consistently used the platform for at least six months to qualify for the awards.
The company also evaluated their reviews and ratings on the Bolt platform as part of the selection process.
“Customer Service Week gives us an opportunity to recognise that contribution in a practical way and acknowledge the commitment it takes to provide a reliable service day after day,” Arthur Gacharia, Bolt's Senior Operations Manager, said.
