🇰🇪 Breaking It Down
The incident happened on June 24 at around 4:37 pm, at Watamu Mall, in what appeared to be a carefully planned operation carried out in broad daylight.
The footage, obtained by Kenyans.co.ke , shows four men arriving at the hotel riding on a single motorbike, their faces fully covered to conceal their identities.
Two of the men walked straight into the building while the remaining two stayed outside, keeping watch and ready to raise the alarm should anything go wrong.
📌 What You Need to Know
Inside the building, the two men wasted no time, pointing their guns at anyone they encountered, including an elderly man seated in a wheelchair who was roughed up and knocked to the ground.
The commotion inside the building sent everyone into a panic, with people scattering in all directions as they desperately tried to get out of harm's way.
Outside, one of the two men on guard pulled out a pistol roughly a minute into the raid and pointed it at anyone attempting to enter the building, forcing bystanders to flee.
A minute later, one of the men who had gone inside emerged from the building carrying a bag visibly loaded with what appeared to be bundles of cash, with some money carried openly in his bare hands.
Shortly after, the other man who had been inside also came out carrying bags that appeared stuffed with items, as the four regrouped and mounted the motorbike, ready to make their escape.
As they sped off, one of the gang members fired a single shot into the air, a final act of intimidation that left those nearby shaken and rooted to the spot.
