🇰🇪 Breaking It Down

CRBC was selected on Monday, June 29, as the main contractor for the Jabali Towers development at Tatu City, a private township covering 5,000 acres currently under construction.

Kenyans.co.ke obtained the official statement from Tatu City authorities, who confirmed that the  Chinese firm will oversee the construction of Jabali Towers, a large mixed-use development located in Tatu Central, the business and lifestyle hub of Tatu City.

"Tatu City has appointed China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) as the main contractor for Jabali Towers, marking the commencement of construction of two landmark residential towers, offices and shops in Tatu Central, the city's vibrant business and lifestyle district that is shaping the future of sustainable living, working and leisure in Africa," the authority stated in a statement.

📌 What You Need to Know

The project will feature two residential towers rising 25 and 36 storeys, alongside office space, retail outlets, and hospitality facilities.

Once completed, the development will include apartments, a 150-room hotel, Grade A office space, and 35 commercial units.

The two towers will also offer modern residential units ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments, with officials noting the units have already begun to be sold out.

The construction of the towers has officially begun, with authorities describing the project as a key milestone in the growth of its master-planned urban ecosystem.

CRBC's new contract comes five days after the company won the Ksh154 billion deal to upgrade JKIA amid a court petition.

The government, through the Ministry of Roads and Transport, on June 23, signed the deal with the company officials, terming the project a major national infrastructure investment.
