The new courts are located in Emuhaya, Maara, Tarakwa and Kegonga, with the four stations taking effect from September 1, 2026.
According to Gazette Notices dated August 26, 2026, the Emuhaya Magistrates’ Court will operate under the supervisory jurisdiction of the Vihiga High Court.

In Maara, the new station will serve residents within its jurisdiction under the supervision of the Chuka High Court , while Tarakwa residents will access services under the Eldoret High Court.
The Kegonga court will similarly provide residents with closer access to judicial services under the supervision of the Migori High Court.
