The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) has licensed three new fund managers, opening fresh investment avenues for Kenyans looking to grow their savings and secure their financial future.

🇰🇪 Breaking It Down

According to a statement seen by  Kenyans.co.ke on July 6, the regulator's latest move is part of a broader push to deepen Kenya's capital markets and expand nationwide access to professional asset management services.

The newly licensed firms are ADAR Asset Management Limited, Entrust Advisory Limited, and Everstrong Asset Management Limited, each bringing a distinct investment approach to the table.

For everyday Kenyans, this means more choices beyond the usual savings accounts, spanning offshore alternatives, infrastructure projects, and locally structured unit trusts.

📌 What You Need to Know

ADAR Asset Management plans to roll out closed-end investment schemes that give Kenyans institutional-grade access to global markets, starting with real estate-linked credit opportunities.

The firm says its model will follow a sequenced fund launch approach, with strict risk controls and full regulatory compliance guiding each fund's lifecycle.

Entrust Advisory, on the other hand, which was previously registered as an Investment Adviser, has now been upgraded to a full Fund Manager license, expanding its offerings and services to clients.

With this upgrade, the firm intends to use technology-driven innovation to help clients build, preserve, and grow their wealth over time.

Everstrong Asset Management, on its part, is set to manage a wide range of investment activities across Kenya and the greater East African region.

Its focus will be on infrastructure, private equity, real estate, energy, and other alternative asset classes, with a focus on long-term returns for investors.
