Nigerian cleric Primate Elijah Ayodele has issued a fresh warning focused on Kenya, cautioning that President William Ruto must be careful over rising political pressure, protests, and emerging opposition strategies that could destabilise his government.

In a statement released through the media office of the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church on Tuesday, June 16, Ayodele said Kenya is heading into a politically sensitive period marked by confrontation between the government and opposition forces.

“Kenya: The country will face various challenges, especially for the president. The opposition will stand out to see if they bring a shocking strategy against Ruto. If Ruto isn’t careful, these protests will destroy his government,” Ayodele stated.

He added that opposition leaders are expected to adopt new political strategies aimed at challenging Ruto’s authority, saying the unfolding situation could reshape the country’s political direction.

According to him, both the government and opposition must tread carefully, warning that miscalculation on either side could deepen national tension and weaken stability.

Ayodele also issued a security-related warning, urging prayers against what he termed a possible plane disaster, adding that Kenya must remain alert to unexpected national shocks.

“If the opposition isn’t firm enough, Ruto will do everything to mess them up completely. The opposition will come up with new ideas to fight Ruto, and he must get ready. They must pray against a plane disaster.”

The remarks come against the backdrop of earlier prophecies issued in April, where the cleric warned that Kenya could face intensified political pressure driven by coalition-building efforts within the opposition.

In that earlier message, he said a strong opposition alliance could emerge as the biggest threat to Ruto’s political dominance , particularly if fragmented groups manage to unite ahead of future elections.

He also warned that internal political disagreements within government ranks could worsen tensions, suggesting that some of the pressure facing the administration may come from within rather than only from opposition forces.
