A helicopter carrying five people has crashed while attempting to take off at Kericho Golf Club.

All five occupants reportedly escaped without injuries, with no immediate reports of fatalities. Images obtained by Kenyans.co.ke show a light utility helicopter lying severely damaged on a grassy field after a hard landing. The aircraft's tail section is completely severed from the main fuselage.

Registration markings visible on the wreckage identify the downed chopper as "5Y-JESK."

Emergency responders and bystanders gathered near the scene to assess the situation.

The chopper is green and white in color, embodying what could possibly be a Kenya Forest Service (KFS) chopper.
