The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has launched an Enhanced Continuous Voter Registration drive targeting five specific electoral areas across the country.

🇰🇪 Breaking It Down

From a special gazette notice seen by   Kenyans.co.ke   , the IEBC announced the month-long exercise runs from June 25, to July 25, giving eligible Kenyans a fresh window to get onto the voters' roll.

The five areas covered are Mbeere North Constituency, Malava Constituency, Emurua Dikirr Constituency, Porro County Assembly Ward in Samburu West, and Endo County Assembly Ward in Marakwet East.

“IEBC gives notice that there will be Enhanced Continuous Voter Registration (ECVR) of voters from Thursday, 25th June, 2026 to Saturday, 25th July, 2026 in the following electoral areas: Mbeere North Constituency, Porro County Assembly Ward in Samburu West Constituency, Endo County Assembly Ward in Marakwet East Constituency,  Emurua Dikirr Constituency and Malava Constituency,” stated IEBC.

📌 What You Need to Know

Registration will run every day of the week, Monday through Sunday, for the entire duration of the ECVR period, making it easier for working Kenyans to find a convenient time.

Services will be available at County Assembly Ward level offices, IEBC Constituency Offices, Huduma Centres, and institutions of higher learning within the specified electoral areas.

The drive follows the conclusion of by-elections in Malava and Mbeere North Constituencies, as well as the determination of related election petitions in both areas.

Residents in the targeted areas can register as new voters, transfer their registration to a different electoral area, update or correct their existing details, or simply verify their current registration status.

Voters who want to transfer their registration must physically present themselves at the IEBC Constituency Office of the area they wish to move to.

Those correcting or updating their details, on the other hand, must visit the IEBC Constituency Office where they are currently registered.
