Kamukunji Member of Parliament Yusuf Hassan Abdi has defected from the Jubilee Party to Rigathi Gachagua's Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP).

🇰🇪 Breaking It Down

This came during a DCP event at Headquarters in Nairobi on August 25, marking his end in the Jubilee Party and a new political chapter ahead of the 2027 General Elections.

Yusuf, who has served as Kamukunji MP under the Jubilee Party, has now announced ambitions to go for a third term as MP for Kamukunji under his new political outfit and has since announced his 2027 presidential ambitions to rally support for Gachagua.

"We are now in DCP, and we have decided to support Rigathi Gachagua in his 2027 Presidential ambitions," Yusuf stated.
