The Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) has announced plans to auction off used trucks and unserviceable equipment next month.

🇰🇪 Breaking It Down

The announcement was made through a public notice detailing two tenders, with the first one covering the disposal of used motor vehicles from KPC's fleet.

The second tender encompasses unserviceable stores and equipment, items the company has officially flagged as beyond practical use, and both are under a competitive bidding process.

“Kenya Pipeline Company PLC invites tenders from eligible candidates for the following; Tender  for  Disposal  of  Unserviceable  Stores, and Equipment, and ender for Disposal of Used Motor Vehicles,” stated the tender.

📌 What You Need to Know

Prospective bidders will have four days to physically inspect the items on offer, with viewings scheduled from June 2 to June 5, running daily between 9am and 3.45pm.

Both tenders share a hard closing date of June 9, with all bids required to be submitted through KPC's online procurement portal by 10am on that date without exception.

Tender documents are available for free download on KPC's official website, under the Tenders section, and on the government's procurement platform at tenders.go.ke, at no cost to any interested party.

All bidders are required to register their companies on KPC's Supplier Relationship Management portal before taking part, a step the company has made mandatory for anyone hoping to participate in either tender.

On the other hand, on physical submissions, KPC says only one document will be accepted at the tender box: the original banker's cheque for the deposit, with "the correct Tender Ref. No, Tender name and correct closing date" attached.

Bidders are urged to submit their applications before the deadline of June 9, with no possible room for extension.
