Kumbe, Kiambu County is hiring 60 ECDE teachers and sio kaeni — this is your golden ticket if you've been grinding in the education sector! Deadline is May 29, so you better get moving before that opportunity closes faster than a Nairobi matatu door.

The Glow-Up You've Been Waiting For

Listen, if you're an ECDE teacher who's been doing the work, teaching those tiny humans their ABCs and making sure they don't eat glue, Kiambu County Public Service Board has your name written all over these 60 Teacher III positions. This isn't some vague "maybe we'll hire" situation — these are concrete vacancies with real salaries under Job Group CPSB 11 (H). The roles involve the usual suspect duties: teaching, running play-learning activities, mentoring learners, preparing materials, and making sure nobody leaves the classroom with a bump on their head. Basically, if you know the job already, why not get paid properly for it?

The positions are contractual, so sawa sawa, you know what you're getting into. But here's the thing — this is Kiambu County, a growing region where education infrastructure is expanding. Being on the ground floor of that growth? That's not just a paycheck, bana, that's career capital.

Who Can Actually Apply (And Who Can't Pretend)

Now, don't rush and submit your form if you're not qualified, because the CPSB has been very specific about what they want. You need minimum KCSE grade C (Plain) — or if you only got D+, you better have an ECDE certificate or relevant diploma to make up for it. And si uone, you MUST be registered with TSC. Period. No shortcuts there.

You also need a computer applications certificate and at least two years of actual work experience in the field. They're not looking for wannabes here. Plus, you've got to be Chapter Six compliant — meaning your integrity and ethics game has to be tight, no funny business. If shortlisted, you'll need clearance from KRA, EACC, DCI, HELB, and CRB. Basically, they want to make sure you're squeaky clean before they hand you a classroom full of five-year-olds.

How to Apply Before Time Runs Out

Here's the move: download the Application for Employment Form 26E from the County Government website. Fill it out properly — and we mean PROPERLY, not anyhow — then hand-deliver it to the CPSB office at Thika Sub-County offices, room 103, first floor. Open weekdays, 8am to 5pm. The deadline is Friday, May 29, and after that, your form goes straight to the bin.

One more thing: the county is warning applicants about fraudsters claiming they can secure you a job for some shady fee. Aki, don't even think about it. This process is completely free. Anyone asking for money is a scammer, and the county won't take responsibility for your losses. If you spot these guys, report them to the cops immediately.

The Jukwaa Take: Kiambu is offering solid teaching jobs with real credentials required — so if you've got the qualifications and haven't applied by May 29, you only have yourself to blame.
