The registration covers institutional candidates sitting Business single and group subjects ahead of the November examination series, which will run from November 16 to December 4, 2026.
KNEC directed all institutions and candidates to submit their registrations through its official online portal, saying no manual applications will be accepted.
The opening of registration means candidates can now formally confirm their eligibility to sit the national examinations, a mandatory step before being issued with examination timetables and allowed to take the tests later this year.

For training institutions, the registration period also triggers a series of administrative activities, including verification of candidate details, submission of Course Work Assessment (CWA) and project marks, and preparation for practical examinations.
The council had earlier notified institutions that registration would open , with the latest announcement marking the commencement of the exercise.
Besides opening registration for the November examinations, KNEC also released a schedule for upcoming examination activities, including coursework submission deadlines, practical examination preparations and milestone data entry timelines.
According to the examination calendar, the deadline for submitting Course Work Assessment (CWA) and project marks for the November 2026 examinations is October 23, 2026.
Institutions will collect advanced instructions for practical examinations on October 12, 2026 , ahead of the practical and theory examinations later that month.
Additionally, KNEC announced that registration for the July 2027 Business and Technical examination series will be conducted between March 1 and May 7, 2027, with examinations scheduled to take place from July 19 to August 6, 2027.
