The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has officially released results for six teacher education assessment and examination programmes.

🇰🇪 Breaking It Down

In a notice on Thursday, October 15, KNEC announced that the results had been dispatched to colleges and instructed candidates to collect them from their respective institutions.

“The candidates who sat these assessments and examinations are advised to obtain the results from their colleges,” the notice read.

However, the council disclosed that some results remain unavailable because certain colleges have outstanding balances for assessment and examination fees.

📌 What You Need to Know

KNEC said the colleges concerned had already been informed about the outstanding payments and were advised to clear them.

According to the council, the institutions will have to settle their arrears before their results can be released.

“Results for colleges with outstanding assessment and examination fee balances have been withheld pending settlement of the arrears. The affected colleges have been notified and advised to clear the balances to facilitate the release of their results,” the council stated.

KNEC’s announcement covers three diploma programmes for the 2023 cohort and three other teacher education qualifications for the 2025 cohort.

The released examinations include the Diploma in Primary Teacher Education (DPTE), Diploma in Secondary Teacher Education (DSTE) and Diploma in Early Childhood Teacher Education (DECTE).

Candidates who sat the Diploma in Teacher Education (DTE), Diploma in Special Needs Education (DSNE) Parts I and II, and Teacher Certificate in Adult Education (TCAE) have also been included in the release.
