The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has invited students, parents, and guardians to a national webinar aimed at guiding 2025 KCSE candidates through the ongoing revision of university course choices ahead of the May 22 cutoff date.

🇰🇪 Breaking It Down

According to the placement agency, the webinar will be held on Wednesday, May 20, from 6pm to 7pm and will focus on the 2026 first revision of degree choices, including who should revise their courses, factors to consider before making changes, and what happens after provisional placement.

The online session will be led by its CEO, Dr Agnes Mercy Wahome, who is expected to answer questions from students and parents during a live question-and-answer session streamed on Zoom, YouTube, Facebook, and X.

KUCCPS said all Form Four leavers, parents, and guardians are welcome to participate in the webinar as the placement agency intensifies efforts to ensure students make informed decisions before the closure of the application and revision window.

📌 What You Need to Know

The webinar comes at a time when thousands of 2025 KCSE candidates are racing against time to secure university placement after KUCCPS reopened its application portal for fresh applications and course revisions.

In a notice issued on Saturday, May 16, the placement agency announced that the portal would remain open until May 22 , giving students who failed to secure placement during the first application window another opportunity to apply for available degree programmes.

KUCCPS revealed that applicants who secured provisional placement into degree courses have already been notified through SMS messages and updates on the student portal.

At the same time, candidates who were unsuccessful during the first application phase were advised to revise their course selections and apply for programmes that still have available slots in universities and colleges.

“We call upon all 2025 Form Four leavers who qualified for degree programmes but have not applied for placement, and those who applied but have not secured a course, to log into the system and apply again,” said Dr Agnes Mercy Wahome.

Even so, KUCCPS warned students who had already received SMS notifications confirming provisional placement into degree courses against making fresh applications during the ongoing revision exercise.
