The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has provided guidance allowing students who missed the official university application window to secure placement in their preferred institutions ahead of placement.
🇰🇪 Breaking It Down
In a notice to students, KUCCPS said the affected students can still be considered for placement before the official placement begins, offering relief to thousands of students who did not apply during the placement agency’s set timeline.
According to the agency, students who still need a placement should formally request consideration by sending an email to KUCCPS.
Students seeking late consideration were advised to send an email to [email protected] , clearly indicating their request to be considered as late applicants.
📌 What You Need to Know
The agency further directed applicants to include key personal and academic details in their request to facilitate processing their KCSE index number, year of KCSE examination, full name, phone number, and email address.
“Send an email to [email protected] requesting to be considered as a late applicant. Please include your KCSE index number, year of KCSE exam, name, phone number and email address,” KUCCPS stated.
Such requests, the placement agency noted, are subject to consideration and do not automatically guarantee placement.
The clarification comes as KUCCPS prepare to release the official final placement for students who sat for the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
According to KUCCPS, the final place is supposed to be announced in the first week of July 2026, where students will know the exact course and institution they will be attending, ahead of admission in September.
However, for those who will not be content with either the programme or the institution given to them by the agency, they will have an opportunity to either transfer courses or institutions under instructions that will follow from KUCCPS.
