The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened applications for Kenya Utalii College programmes for the September 2026 intake, giving students seeking careers in hospitality and tourism an opportunity to apply for placement.

🇰🇪 Breaking It Down

In an announcement made on Wednesday, August 12, KUCCPS said the programmes will be offered at the Ronald Ngala Utalii College in Kilifi County, with applicants required to submit their applications through the KUCCPS Students' Portal.

The application deadline has been set for August 23, this year, with prospective students required to complete the process before the deadline to be considered for the September intake.

“Ready to pursue a career in hospitality and tourism? Applications for Ronald Ngala Utalii College programmes for the September 2026 intake are now open,” KUCCPS confirmed.

📌 What You Need to Know

“Apply via the KUCCPS portal students.kuccps.ac.ke before August 23, 2026.”

The latest opening comes months after KUCCPS incorporated Kenya Utalii College programmes into its centralised placement system for the first time.

In March 2026, KUCCPS opened applications for 13 diploma and certificate programmes at the college, allowing Form Four leavers who sat the 2025 KCSE examination and those from previous years to apply through the portal, for the first time ever.

The diploma programmes include Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Front Office Operations, Food and Beverage Management, Housekeeping and Laundry Management, Travel and Tourism Management, and Tour Guiding and Administration.

Kenya Utalii College was established 47 years ago and has since trained more than 60,000 graduates who have gone on to work in Kenya's hospitality and tourism industry as well as international markets.

The institution operates under the Ministry of Tourism and previously admitted students directly before joining the KUCCPS placement system.
