“Upon considering the merits of the said application, it is hereby ordered that the application be certified as urgent and shall be heard during the recess period,” the documents stated.

Those served have been given an opportunity to file their responses before the matter returns to court on Tuesday, September 8.
The legal challenge comes days after the government cancelled the registration of the co-operative union and placed it under liquidation.
According to a Gazette Notice published on August 31, the move followed liquidity challenges that had affected KUSCCO’s operations.
Three officials from the State Department for Co-operatives were appointed to oversee the winding-up process for a period of up to one year.
The liquidators are expected to take custody of the organisation’s property, financial records and other documents required during the process.
