Activist Collins Otieno has been found after reportedly disappearing while seeking assistance to trace fellow activist Boniface Mulinge Muteti, who had also gone missing on Monday, September 21.

🇰🇪 Breaking It Down

Otieno was among several activists who were arrested in Nairobi’s Central Business District on Monday, during protests over the continued detention of long-time Ugandan opposition leader Kizza Besigye.

In an update issued on Saturday, September 26, Vocal Africa Chief Executive Officer Hussein Khalid said Otieno was discovered along Thika Road at about 4:30am.

According to Khalid, a boda boda rider found the activist and took him to Neema Uhai Hospital in the Kasarani area, where he was receiving treatment.
