The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) now says that motorists yet to collect their logbooks should immediately visit any Huduma Centre or official NTSA offices to collect their documents.

🇰🇪 Breaking It Down

At the same time, Kenyans seeking to verify the status of their driving licence and number plate applications have been directed to use the dedicated status portal on the NTSA website.

The Authority, on Tuesday, July 14, urged motorists with uncollected physical logbooks to collect them, saying vehicle owners have five months before the December 2026 deadline.

NTSA reiterated that it will not retain printed physical logbooks for more than six months, warning that logbooks that remain uncollected after the deadline will be disposed of.

📌 What You Need to Know

"It is five months to the deadline, and we urge all motor vehicle owners who still have their logbooks at NTSA offices to collect them as soon as possible to avoid any inconveniences," the Authority said.

To facilitate the process, NTSA outlined several channels through which motorists can access services and make enquiries, including NTSA physical offices and Huduma Centres located across 47 counties.

For customer support, NTSA advised members of the public to contact it through its official email address, [email protected], or by calling its contact centre and switchboard on 0709 932 300 and 0709 932 000.

The Authority also encouraged motorists to seek assistance through its official social media platforms, including Facebook (@NTSAKENYA) and X (@ntsa_kenya).

"Collection of logbooks is free. Carry the previous logbook and present your identification document at the collection centre/NTSA office for verification purposes," NTSA clarified.

Additionally, NTSA directed motorists to its online service status platform, where they can check whether their driving licences, physical logbooks or vehicle number plates are ready for collection before visiting an NTSA office or Huduma Centre.
