According to a DCI statement reviewed by Kenyans.co.ke , detectives found a substantial quantity of other property suspected to have been stolen after conducting a wider search of the premises.
“Detectives from the Operation Support Unit (OSU) have recovered a massive consignment of goods suspected to have been stolen in an operation linked to an ongoing investigation into obtaining goods by false pretences,” the statement read.
The recovered goods included SGR fence gates, scaffolding equipment, steel rail bars, PPR pipes, metallic angle bars and block boards.

The haul also comprised industrial lubricants, engine oils, solar batteries, motorcycle batteries, LED lighting equipment and wall-coating products.
In addition, event decoration equipment and assorted household utensils were recovered from the premises.
DCI said the investigation was linked to a businessman, who has been charged with obtaining goods by false pretences.
On Thursday, August 6, the Makadara Law Courts ordered the suspect to remain in custody after the prosecution presented compelling reasons for him to be denied bail.
The recovery followed an investigation into a complaint involving goods allegedly obtained from a supplier through fraudulent transactions.
Detectives from the OSU traced paint products linked to the alleged transaction to the storage yard.
