The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has begun the process of identifying teachers who will administer the 2026 national examinations and assessments.
🇰🇪 Breaking It Down
Kenyans.co.ke has established that Curriculum Support Officers (CSOs) are engaging Heads of Institutions to collect details of teachers who could be deployed as Centre Managers, Supervisors and Invigilators.
The information will be entered into the Kenya National Examinations Council’s (KNEC) CP2 online deployment system.
According to a circular seen by Kenyans.co.ke, Sub-County Directors of Education have been directed to nominate suitable teachers and ensure their details are entered into the system by the end of September.
📌 What You Need to Know
The exercise comes ahead of the national examination period, which will begin in October.
The KCSE examination will run from October 19 to November 20, while KPSEA written papers will be administered from October 26 to 28.
KJSEA and KILEA will run from October 26 to 30, while KPLEA will be administered from October 26 to 29.
According to KNEC, only qualified, TSC-employed or TSC-registered teachers will be considered for deployment.
The CP2 system will prevent Supervisors and Invigilators from being assigned to schools where they have worked within the previous three years.
Teachers deployed to examination centres will also be required to declare any conflict of interest, including having a relative sitting an examination at the centre.
