The Linda Mwnanchi Movement (LMM) has appointed its campaign secretariat as the movement steps up its ambitions to clinch the presidency in the 2027 General Elections.
🇰🇪 Breaking It Down
In a notice on Tuesday, October 13, the Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna-led movement appointed former Jubilee Party Organising Secretary Puline Njoroge as head of communications, who will hold the position in an interim capacity.
According to LMM, the appointment followed its leadership meeting on Monday, October 12, in an effort to restructure the party and move towards the 2027 presidential campaign.
"The Linda Mwananchi leadership met yesterday to review progress on the party's rebranding process, as well as the ongoing structuring of the party and the Presidential Campaign Secretariat," the notice read in part.
📌 What You Need to Know
According to the notice, Njoroge will lead the secretariat for now , bringing her experience in political and strategic communication.
Part of the reason Pauline Njoroge was selected was that she also worked on presidential campaigns, including serving on the campaign team for the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga during his 2025 African Union Commission Chairperson campaign.
"Pauline brings a wealth of experience in political and strategic communication, having previously worked on presidential campaigns, and with various governmental institutions and intergovernmental organisations," the notice added.
In July 2026, Njoroge resigned from her position at the Jubilee party where she served for 14 years, fully throwing his support to Sifuna's presidential bid and the Linda Mwanmanchi Movement.
"I wish to announce my resignation from the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Jubilee Party, where I have served as Deputy Organising Secretary, and as a member of the Jubilee Party, effective today", Njoroge said on July 21.
At the same time, the movement made appointments to its digital, media, and publicity team.
